This chic, relaxed jacket has a clean, modern design. It’s made from water-repellent Italian ripstop, crafted by the experts at Olmetex, a world-renowned mill established in 1954 in Italy’s Como region. Ripstop is a military innovation, often used in uniforms and parachutes — traditionally, it’s woven using a special technique that creates a fine crosshatch pattern, making it both lightweight and incredibly resistant to tearing. This take (a favorite of Todd’s from the collection) is slightly iridescent, with a hexagonal pattern, in a modern update to the classic. Despite its sleek lines, it packs pockets aplenty: two cargo pockets on the sleeves (big enough for a cellphone), two chest pockets and two hand pockets. There’s also a full hood packed into the windguard-style collar, if the weather gets dicey.
As Creative Director of Woolrich’s Black Label, Todd has designed a collection of rugged yet luxurious takes on the nearly 200-year-old brand’s iconic styles that marry Woolrich’s innovative technical fabrics with sartorial flourishes.
